Berserker ^TM Cycle Design has been established to bring full suspension recumbent tricycles to market. Our Mission is to provide customers with high quality customizable products and support them with personalized service.

About the Founders:

The inventor of the Berserker^TM tricycle is Adam Stephens a Industrial Technology professor at CalPoly. He is an avid cycler who designed the full suspension recumbent tricycle to enable him to continue riding after sustaining a back injury mountain biking.  Adam has been an avid cyclist for over 13 years, with 6 years of custom wheel building and assembly experience.  Adam serves as Berserker’s CEO.

Brian Gobrogge is the cofounder of Berserker who brings over 15 years of operations and new product introduction experience to the company.  Brian has brought eight products from concept to commercialization, and has co-invented an ultra low power reflective display technology.  Most recently he started Cospheric LLC to provide R&D scientists around the world a single place to purchase a wide variety of specialty and custom microspheres.   He has 11 patents, and serves as the Berserker’s COO.

The Berserker Team:
Lucas Whipple is a mechanical engineering student at Cal Poly. He has been building and riding bikes and trikes for the past three years, including the construction of a trike based on Rick Horowitz’s thunderbolt. He recently rode in the Solvang Century on a vintage Lighthouse Cycles frame that he rebuilt and restored.  Lucas serves as our mechanical designers.

Tyler Kutz is an industrial technology student at Cal Poly.  Tyler works in fabrication and welding.
